dermal fillers & anti-wrinkle injections – 30 mins

Anti-wrinkle injections are used to diminish facial wrinkles which occur due to our facial muscles making repeated facial expressions, and dermal fillers are used to restore volume and lift to the upper layers of skin, or to enhance certain areas of the face such as the cheeks and lips.

Anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox consist of a natural purified protein that relax facial muscles.  As the facial muscle can no longer contract, unwanted wrinkles are prevented from being formed, and gradually fade in appearance over 2 weeks.

Dermal fillers consist of non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid.  This is a complex sugar chain which strongly binds to water and forms a natural component of human skin.  As an aging skin begins to lose collagen, a dermal filler can be used to replace diminishing volume, ‘plumping’ and lifting the skin.
